Stop Losing Your Own Notes in the Class WhatsApp Group

The PDF you shared last Tuesday is now 400 messages up. Here is how to give a class its own shelf — materials, activities and assignments that stay findable.

By Veda Team

Every teacher has done this: shared a PDF in the class group, and been asked to resend it four days later. Not because students are careless — because a group chat is a river. Anything you drop in it moves downstream, past forwards and good-morning images, until nobody can find it.

The real cost

It is not the resending. It is that material shared in a chat has no shelf life — a student revising for exams in March cannot find what you shared in August, so the work you did preparing it is spent once and lost.

Give the class a shelf instead

Materials in Veda attach to a class and a subject, not to a conversation. Notes, PDFs and links stay where you put them, listed for every student in that class, findable in March as easily as in August.

  1. Upload once A PDF, notes or a link, attached to the subject you teach.
  2. Every student in that class sees it No forwarding, no "sir, please send again."
  3. It stays Still there next term, still organised by subject.

Activities: material with something to do

Materials are for reading. Activities are for doing — a task with a description and a file attached, set for a subject. Use them for homework, a project brief, a worksheet, or an assignment students work through on their own.

Where kits fit

For a chapter you actually teach, a Chapter Kit beats a bare PDF: the same material becomes notes, Veda Bites, flashcards and practice questions, and you assign it to the class in one tap. Materials are for everything that is not worth generating — the syllabus, a circular, a reference sheet.

What the class actually gets

📄 Notes & PDFs 🔗 Links 📝 Activities with files 📚 Organised by subject 📢 Announcements
What it costs

Sharing materials and setting activities are free. The free plan includes up to 50 materials — enough for a full year of one class's handouts.

The test that convinces you

Upload the last three things you shared in the class group. Then ask a student to find one of them next week. That is the whole difference.
