Veda for Schools / For teachers and the office
Attendance marked on a phone, and a register that prints itself
A register that lives in a book is a register nobody can total. Teachers mark it on their phones in the first minute of the period, and the office stops chasing it.

How does attendance work in Veda?
Teachers mark attendance on their phones and Veda prints the monthly register class by class as Excel or PDF. The principal sees which classes have not marked it this week, and students below a threshold you set appear in one list. Divisions are counted separately.
What you get from the week you start
- Marked on the teacher's phone, subject by subject or once for the day
- The monthly register prints class by class, as Excel or PDF
- Students below a threshold — 75%, or whatever you set — in one list
- The principal sees which classes have not marked it this week
- Works for divisions, so 10-A and 10-B are counted separately
- Students see their own attendance in the app, the same figure the office holds
What schools ask about this
What if a teacher has no phone that day?
The office can mark or correct any register from the web, and every change records who made it.
Can we still keep a paper register?
Many pilot schools do for the first month. The printed register is the same format, so the two can be compared before the paper one is retired.
Does it handle half-days and holidays?
Holidays come from the school calendar, so they are not counted against a student. Periods after a break keep their own numbering.
