Create a quiz in Hindi, from your own chapter
Two different jobs, one tool: a Science or Social Science quiz asked in Hindi, or a quiz on Hindi itself — व्याकरण, पाठ, कवि. Upload the chapter and the questions come back in Devanagari.
How do I create a quiz in Hindi?
Veda writes Hindi MCQ questions from material you upload — a chapter PDF, a photo of handwritten notes, or pasted text — so you never type in Devanagari. It handles both Hindi-medium subjects and quizzes on Hindi itself, including व्याकरण and poetry. Share it by link and it marks itself. Free.
A quiz in Hindi, or a quiz on Hindi
These are not the same request. A Hindi-medium Science teacher needs the question asked in Hindi with the term left in English. A Hindi teacher needs questions about the language itself — which सर्वनाम is in the line, what the कवि is saying, which रस the verse carries. Upload the chapter and you get the kind that matches it.
- Hindi-medium Science, Maths and Social Science — asked in Hindi
- Hindi as a subject — व्याकरण, गद्य, पद्य, रचना
- Terms like photosynthesis stay English inside a Hindi sentence
- Poetry and prose questions quote the line they are about
Built from your book, not a national question bank
स्पर्श, क्षितिज, कृतिका or your state board's Hindi reader — photograph the pages and the quiz comes from those, not from a bank your students have already seen on three other sites. The ladder runs easy to hard, so one quiz serves a mixed class.
- From NCERT Hindi readers or any state board book
- Leveled ladder — recall first, then the stretch question
- A one-line reason behind every answer
- Options shuffled per student
You never type in Hindi — the page does
Typing Devanagari on a phone is the reason most Hindi teachers never made a digital quiz. You do not type the questions here: you photograph the page, or paste the text, and the questions are written for you. Handwritten Hindi notes work from a photo.
- No Devanagari typing — photograph or paste instead
- Handwritten Hindi read from a phone photo
- The danda, matras and conjuncts come out intact
- Share by WhatsApp link, or run it live with a join code
The material this already works from
NCERT Hindi readers
स्पर्श, क्षितिज, कृतिका and the rest. Photograph the pages; the questions come from your chapter.
Hindi-medium Science and Maths
The question in Hindi, the term in English — the way the textbook itself writes it.
व्याकरण worksheets
संधि, समास, अलंकार, काल. The recall-heavy ground where a weekly quiz pays for itself.
Poetry, with the line quoted
A question about a दोहा or a कविता names the line it is asking about, rather than assuming the student remembers it.
Your own handwritten notes
The most common input, and the one most tools cannot take. A phone photo is enough.
An English reference, Hindi output
Teaching from an English book and examining in Hindi is normal. Choose the output language.
Before your first Hindi quiz
Can it make a quiz on Hindi grammar, not just in Hindi?
Yes, and they are different jobs. Upload a व्याकरण worksheet and you get questions about संधि, समास or अलंकार. Upload a Hindi-medium Science chapter and you get Science questions asked in Hindi. The quiz follows the material you give it.
Do I have to type in Devanagari?
No — that is usually the blocker, so it is worth being plain about. Photograph the page, upload the PDF or paste the text. You never type a question in Hindi.
Will the matras and conjuncts come out correctly?
Yes. Devanagari is handled as text rather than as an image, so matras, conjuncts and the danda survive into the quiz, the result sheet and the share link.
Can it read my handwritten Hindi notes?
Photograph the page and it is read and used. This is the most common input from Hindi-medium teachers.
Does it work for CBSE?
The quiz is written from the chapter you upload, so an NCERT chapter produces questions on that chapter. Veda is not a CBSE product and does not claim board approval; it claims to use your book instead of someone else's question bank.
How do students take it?
One link, which WhatsApp handles fine, or a join code for a live quiz on the classroom screen. No student accounts and no email addresses.
Is it free?
Creating quizzes from your own material and sharing them is free for you as the teacher, with no ads and no per-student charge.
